Mr.Meiyappan Solaiyappan is a visualization researcher and director of a visualization lab at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, USA. He studied in M. Ct. M. High School, Vaishnav College, College of Engineering Guindy, His career started as  R&D Computer Graphics Engineer in Wipro Information Technology, Bangalore and diversified into biomedical focus at Erasmus University, The Netherlands, and became an image computing researcher at National University Singapore before moving to USA.

His area of expertise is in 3D Visualization and Virtual Reality systems as applied to biomedical images and current area of specialization is in application of Artificial Intelligence for early detection of complex diseases such as cancer.

His other deep interests subjects include Physics, Astronomy and Tamil language, Culture & Civilization.

His favourite pass-time entertainment interests include watching Hollywood action movies, listening to Kannadasan’s classic songs, and comedy tracks of Tamil movies..
