Dr. K.V.S.Maruthumohan, PhD,
Historian & Archaeological Research Scholar
Dr.Maruthumohan did his schooling at American College High School, and B.A Economics at Madurai Kamarajar University and M.A., M.Phil. in History at Tamil Nadu Open University, Chennai & Ph.D. at University of Madras (2010-2017).
He has completed his Doctorate on the life of Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan and his acting skills, correlating with Tholkappiem-Meypattiyal and Method Acting of Constantin Stanislavsky. He aspires to pursue Post-Doctoral Fellowship on Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan vs Marlon Brando.
He started his career as a Marketing Manager in the Pharmaceutical as well as Surgical fields and found his own company ‘Carewel Hospital Supplies Pvt. Ltd’. representing Baxter, US and Terumo Corporation, Japan, dealing with Cardio products.
He started an NGO, ‘TAMIL CULTURAL RESEARCH FOUNDATION’ in the year 2006 and he had since submitted several research papers a few notable ones being ‘Journey of Man-National Geography’, ‘Origin of Sivagangai Seemai’, ‘Veeramangai Velu Naachiar’.
His play ‘Jathigal Irukkuthadi Paapa’ was very famous in souther part of Tamil Nadu.
He has also authored a book by title ‘Maaveerar Sashivarna Devar’, publisged by Vanathi Pathipagam, Chennai.
A voracious reader and a Great Public Speaker, he has travelled the world and have given lectures on Tamil Culture & its History. A notable lecture was at the National Library of Rio-de-Genero on ‘Elimination of Jhon De Britto by King of Ramnad, Raghunatha Sethupathi at the end of 17th Century. His area of expertise is conducting research on Kumari Kandam, Indus Valley Civilisation, History of Tamil and Tamil Nadu.
He has a deep passion for singing, acting and writing screen play & dialogues for Tamil Movies. His interests led him to act in a Tamil movie ‘TO LET’ which won 34 International awards and he has also written a Tamil play.
